Slick way to skip lines and idented text? Empty Slick way to skip lines and idented text?

Post by peterpan on Wed 23 Jan - 8:54

Hey Guys,

I there a slicker way to skip multiple lines searching for a given text in source code? I've using "\s.*\s.*...." to skip both blank and text lines, but it gets pathetic when you have 20 or 30 lines of code you'd like to skip?

-TIA

use (?s) in the beginning of the expression, this means . will match anything including newlines so <a.+?href for example will skip any number of chars between <a and href

Will give that a try... Thanks Bhai!

Update: Looks like my preferred RegEx Tester: "http://www.gethifi.com/tools/regex" doesn't like (?s) as soon as I put in any expression, it turns RED! I have tried testing it in RegEx 101, and it seems to work (I get all 8 matches/groups), but when I run it in £$π I only get the last match!

Can you give the page and the expression and I will take a look.
Regex101 is more accurate than gethifi as it supports more languages whereas gethifi only supports Javascript language
